"I am not a writer, just a mere storyteller". Kristan Proudman

Kristan Alick George Proudman was born in the township of Elizabeth Vale, South Australia in October of 1971. His family soon moved to his mothers' hometown of Cairns, in Far North Queensland, Australia where Kristan first attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and then went on to St. Augustine's College and St. Mary's College to complete his secondary education.

After pursuing a career in Information Technology and earning a Diploma of Business at the Cairns Business College, he took time to learn and eventually teach scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.

In the late 90's Kristan returned to school and acquired a Bachelors Degree in Education at James Cook University where he was introduced to critical literacy and discovered the enchantment of the written word. After graduating from JCU he began teaching in a number of primary schools in Australia before moving to the United States to teach computer science at a preparatory school in Massachusetts where he wrote his first novel "Sorcerers of War". Kristan once again returned to studying and obtained a CFPS from Cambridge University during his time in the UK. While teaching Kristan traveled extensively to various countries around the globe and used inspiration found from his journeys to continue to write.
